Your role

As a Gamma data science consulting intern, your focus is on

• Translating real-world business problems into an appropriate quantitative context and developing models that solve these questions.
• To do so, you’ll not only develop modeling concepts, you will implement, calibrate and backtest these and align the results and findings with clients.
• You’ll be working hand in hand with senior staff, some of the world’s top minds in their respective field of analytics and industry, on cases that reshape business, government, and society.
• You’ll apply data science and analytics methods to real-world business situations, collaborating on challenging projects in inspiring teams, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives, and developing new skills and experience to help you at every stage of your career—at BCG and beyond.

At BCG GAMMA, you’ll have the chance to work with clients in every BCG region and every industry area. Gamma is a core member of a rapidly growing analytics enterprise at BCG – a constellation of teams focused on driving practical results for BCG clients by applying leading-edge analytics approaches, data, and technology.

Training & development 

BCG offers internships within core consulting, but also training within the tech space, such as data science and analytics, strategic and experience design, and software engineering, to name but a few. Whichever internship you choose, you’ll have a dedicated support network of BCGers, teaching you new skills every day, such as problem-solving, data analysis, and presenting and pitching ideas, setting you up for success in whichever career path you should choose.

Digital BCG, BCG GAMMA, and BCG Platinion offer interns an inside look at what it’s like to work within the technology consulting at BCG, supplying real-world experience and the chance to sharpen their digital abilities. The availability of opportunities can vary by location but may include data science and analytics, software engineering, cyber security, strategic design, experience design, risk management, enterprise solutions, and financial engineering.  

Most internships last for two to three months, but some may range from a few weeks to a year depending on the role and location.
