Your role
IISc invites applications for the position of Instructor in the discipline of Computer Science to assist in the conduct of undergraduate-level courses in Computer Science. The details of the posts are as follows:
Name of Post: Instructor - Computer Science
The Instructors will be responsible for the following:
Assisting faculty in the conduct of tutorials and lab sessions, grading assignments and examinations, and other logistical support, for undergraduate-level courses in Computer Science.
Candidates with Ph.D. qualifications may additionally be asked to teach or co-teach courses, advise, or co-advise students for their BTech projects, design curriculum, and develop course materials.
Instructors are also encouraged to pursue research in areas of their interest in collaboration with faculty members of the Institute.
Duration
The above position is purely contractual, and candidates will be hired on a renewable annual contract (depending on satisfactory performance) for a maximum duration of 5 years. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining.
Salary & benefits
Candidates with Ph.D.:
Payscale: INR 54,000 – 74,000/- + HRA
Candidates without a Ph.D. but having an M Tech and selected through GATE / NET:
Payscale: INR 31,000/- + HRA. After two years, pay will be revised to Rs. 35,000/ + HRA
Candidates without a Ph.D. but having an M Tech degree but not selected through GATE / NET):
Payscale: INR 25,000/ + HRA. After two years, pay will be revised to Rs. 28,000/ + HRA.

Candidates with prior teaching/research experience will be preferred.
