Your role

IIT Gandhinagar Civil Engineering Department is looking for Ph.D. students to join their research teams.

You will join the team as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and work on a project involving - the “Development of building materials for fire safety and sustainability”.

Duration: 1 Year. Extendable to one more year based on performance.

Your responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will plan and carry out experimental characterization and simulations of new materials being designed for enhanced fire safety and sustainability.
  • The work will involve understanding fundamental physical phenomena such as material behavior, heat transfer, and moisture transfer as well as the use of experimental characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, etc.
  • A strong background in materials, mechanics, thermodynamics, and experimental methods is required.
  • Exposure to using XRD and SEM equipment is required.

Salary & benefits

The candidate would be paid an amount of INR 50,000/- per month plus HRA (if on-campus accommodation is not available) (Source: IITGN)
